PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
The long elegant spout on this glass teapot offers a dripless pour. Add Bodum's unique tea press system and you've got a very practical teapot! The teapot is made of borosilicate glass and has a stainless steel infuser & plunger. The infuser rests on the rim of the teapot, and is 4 1/4" deep and has hundreds of sieve holes. How the tea press works...fill the infuser with loose tea leaves and water. At the end of steeping time, press the plunger down to stop the brewing process. The tea leaves are not crushed, only isolated in the bottom 1" portion of the infuser. There is no need to remove the strainer.
